Over the course of a year, three emerging playwrights will develop three new plays around the themes of environmentalism, sustainability, and the end of the word.

 

Performed as live radio dramas, Radio Plays for the End of the World is an innovative theatre experience bringing efforts toward sustainable theatre practices into action. A zero waste production. On top of that, each play will be underscored by live foley composed entirely out of recycled materials (and, let’s face it, trash.)

 

This project is an investment into new work development and a testament in support of audio-first drama as a vital part of our theatre ecosystem.

 

Through writing, dramaturgy, rewriting, and workshopping, these new plays will explore the dominant threats to the future of our planet, how we got here, and what we must do to prevent the end of the world as we know it
